1. What we collect
To provide and bill for Services, we collect: account and contact details (name, email, phone, address); billing and payment information, processed securely by our payment providers; domain registration (WHOIS) details required by the relevant registry (such as KeNIC or ICANN); and records of support communications, including calls to +254 755 000 300 where relevant to resolving your issue.
2. How we use it
To provision and support the Services you order, to bill you, to meet registrar and registry obligations for domains, to respond to support requests, and to meet our legal obligations under Kenyan law.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary data with: our domain registrar partners, to register and manage domains on your behalf; payment processors (including Safaricom M-Pesa and PesaPal), to process transactions; and our hosting and billing infrastructure providers. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Cookies and tracking
The cloudhost.ke marketing site operates with minimal privacy impact. The billing portal (billing.cloudhost.ke) sets essential encrypted session cookies required for authentication, shopping cart retention, and checkout to function.
5. Data retention
We retain account and billing records for as long as your account is active and afterward as required by Kenyan tax and company law. Domain WHOIS data is retained per registry requirements.
6. Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records. To exercise these rights, contact support@cloudhost.ke.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS-encrypted connections and strict role-based access control. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Complaints
If you believe we've mishandled your data, contact us first at support@cloudhost.ke. You may also lodge a complaint with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.
