Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Purpose

This policy exists because CloudTrade Centralised Systems Limited is the registrar of record's reseller and abuse contact for every domain registered through cloudhost.ke, and the operator of the underlying hosting infrastructure. We are obligated to act on abuse, and this sets out the standards we enforce.

2. Prohibited Activities on Any Service

The following activities are strictly prohibited across all domains, mailboxes, and server instances:

• Sending spam, unsolicited bulk email, or operating unauthorized mail relays.
• Hosting or distributing malware, viruses, trojans, phishing pages, or credential harvesters.
• Hosting or publishing illegal content under the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
• Copyright, trademark, or intellectual property infringement without valid license.
• Attacks on other systems, including denial-of-service (DDoS) amplification, port scanning, and unauthorized penetration attempts.
• Abusive activity or rogue scripts that consume disproportionate shared CPU, memory, or I/O resources to the detriment of neighboring accounts.

3. Domain-Specific Requirements

WHOIS contact information for any domain registered through us must remain accurate and verifiable, per ICANN and KeNIC policies. Domains may not be used for malicious cybersquatting, deceptive typosquatting, or to impersonate financial institutions or public entities you do not legitimately represent.

4. Reporting Abuse

To report network, domain, or email abuse involving a cloudhost.ke domain or hosted service, email support@cloudhost.ke with full log headers, URLs, or evidence. We investigate legitimate reports and act proportionately.

5. Enforcement & Escalation

Depending on severity, our team may issue a written warning, throttle access, suspend, or terminate a Service, with or without prior notice. Severe issues (such as active phishing pages, command-and-control servers, or illegal materials) are terminated immediately upon confirmation.

6. Cooperation with Authorities

We cooperate fully with Kenyan law enforcement agencies, the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK), and relevant judicial bodies as legally required.
