Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
1. Purpose
This policy exists because CloudTrade Centralised Systems Limited is the registrar of record's reseller and abuse contact for every domain sold through cloudhost.ke, and the operator of the hosting infrastructure. We're obligated to act on abuse, and this sets out what we act on.
2. Prohibited on any Service
- Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email
- Hosting or distributing malware, phishing pages, or other malicious content
- Illegal content of any kind under Kenyan law
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Attacks on other systems, including denial-of-service attacks and unauthorised access attempts
- Activity that consumes disproportionate shared server resources to the detriment of other customers
3. Domain-specific requirements
WHOIS contact information for any domain registered through us must be accurate, per ICANN and KeNIC policy. Domains may not be used for cybersquatting, or to impersonate a business or person you don't represent.
4. Reporting abuse
To report abuse involving a cloudhost.ke domain or hosted service, email support@cloudhost.ke with the details. We investigate legitimate reports and act proportionately, up to and including suspension.
5. Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may warn, suspend, or terminate a Service, with or without prior notice. Serious matters (active malware, phishing, illegal content) are typically actioned immediately.
6. Cooperation with authorities
We cooperate with Kenyan law enforcement and relevant regulatory bodies as legally required.
